The combined meeting of the Association of Plastic, Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgeons of Southern Africa (APRASSA) Congress and ISAPS Symposium on Facial Aesthetics were held during October this year at the Westin Hotel in Cape Town, South Africa. This event featured a one-day ISAPS symposium on facial aesthetics followed by a two-and-a-half-day APRASSA Congress covering both aesthetic and reconstructive topics.
By combining these two meetings, this year’s event offered renowned international speakers, superior academic presentations, an extensive trade exhibit, pre-congress workshops, and networking opportunities. The event also benefited the next generation of plastic surgeons by exposing registrars and young consultants to both ISAPS and APRASSA programs.
In addition to an impressive roster of international speakers, the scientific programme featured local contributions from member surgeons and registrars, covering key areas such as advanced facial rejuvenation techniques, non-surgical aesthetic procedures, reconstructive surgery, patient safety and ethical practices, and emerging trends in aesthetic medicine.
